"What makes writing meaningful to an author"
blog what stands out from the presentations about writing and make that the topic of your Documentary
The four authors that came in to talk to us were all very enthusiastic about writing and it was something they love and are pasionate about. When they were describing what they do they seemed to have such joy in their voice and were excited about writing. It also stood out to me that to the four atuthors/poets wrote for their enjoyment and a hobby instead of a job. I understand that its very hard to make a living off of writing. Deb Smith was a traver that got to explore different countries and then get her essays published in magazines. The way Robyn Ringler, Deb Smith and Therese Broderick were talking it sounded like it was such a special moment to get your work published. I think that Deb smith has gotten so many opertunities in her lifetime through writing and thats something we could all cherish. Writing takes practice and Robyn Ringler said she has been to almost all of the writing classes in the capital region. And it gives courage to people who want to learn how to write or even become a better poet, fictional writer, or even non fiction essays. Inspiration comes from everywhere and Stephen Leslie said that he meditates and studied with a monk for 19 years and that helpes him come up with ideas for writing. I also learned that as best as they can they all write every day which is just a way to get thoughts down.
