A poem for 6 A.M.

6:00 a.m. My alarm clock is the mocking bird sining a new song, the unmistakable signal that it's time to start the day, breakfast on the table and clothes picked out means I'm ready for what's to come about.
7:00 a.m. The drive to school seems so long as I watch the time slowly tick by. Its 7:30 and I'm just turning into school, doesn't seem too late but there's still so much to do. The walk down the hall is never ending  as hard as I try I never seem to get to class on time.
8:00 a.m. Still in class, although still wishing i was curled in bed because of all the work i did the night before.
9:00  brings change although I wouldn't say for the better. Starting to get hungry, the day still beginning , 9:00 drags on and on.
10:00 Same teacher same stuff boring as always, I watch the second hand move around and around never bringing the favorite bell.
11:00 almost there bring hopes of the end of the day, lunch is beginning if you have first finally a time for socializing with our friends.
12:00 -2:00 is a blur but from two on its just fun, talking to friends or outside in the sun
3:00 means its time for practice something we've been dreading since the start of the day, two hours of running seems crazy to some but yes its my second year.
5:30 means freedom and time to go home with so much to do and so little time, all i want is dinner and a lime

Web Gallery of Art

This picture reminds me of a painting that is hanging in my living room. I look at this picture all the time, every time I sit on my day bed i look forward and see a picture resembling theses angels. I don't know why but i really seem to like this photo. It's very different than anything you would see in a modern house today or even anything you would see an artist now a days create. The angels remind me of all different people portraying different personalities. The angels all seem to be moving and doing their own thing, the artist makes the angels all work together when there far apart. I love art and have always wished I could be good at painting and drawing. One of my greatest frustrations is being able to picture it in my head, but no be able to put it on paper. This artist seemed able to do that with ease. Although I do wonder if this was easy for Apollo or if it took him years. I wonder if this is what he wanted it to look like or if it turned our completely different than he had planed. Just like many other things in life.

Haste; does not bring success -121-

My fortune: Haste, does not bring success. This fortune reminds me of multiple times in my life when I've worked so hard to get no outcome. One of my favorite examples - and probably my mom’s, is, spending hours among hours slaving away to clean the smallest messiest room in my house - my room. Clothes scatter the floor; random trinkets cover my dresser, drawers open with clothes hanging out. The mess seems as if army of men had only minutes to search the room for their lost hamster. Looking for something that could be anywhere is only a task I could achieve; I’m the only one who knows where anything is in my room. Minutes later, the rooms a mess.

Nnnnnn.

No can be the simple answer that gets you out of any situation. No can also be long and complicated. Needs an explanation by the people who don't understand the meaning. Nagging only receives no as an answer. "nah" says the teacher with an informal answer. Neptune is not the planted closest to the sun. No. Not that either. New York is not in the south. North is more like it. Nick asks the Spanish teacher, "what is snow in Spanish?" Nieve is her response. Newspapers line the street with the title: New Important Information! "Nuclear bombs attacked Nepal." "Nation under house arrest!" "No attacker will ever get away with this!"

One day we'll stop waiting for change with our hands in our pockets

One day, we won't have our hands in our pockets.
one day, we won't ask who made the change
but say it was I.
one day, we wont just sit around
and watch change happen. we will do it.
one day, we will be the change we want to see in the world.
one day, we will have the strength to make things happen.
one day, we will make the world a better place
one day, we will make ourselves better
one day, we won't have our hands in our pockets
waiting for change to happen.
